Application For Taxi Vocational Licence

Interested in a profession that will take you places? Come join the ranks of TransCab. To be eligible, you must first undergo the Taxi Vocational Licence (TVL) Training Course supervised by the Singapore Taxi Academy (STA) and obtain a Taxi Vocational Licence (TVL) issued by the Land Transport Authority (LTA)

 

Application Criteria By LTA

To apply for the Taxi Vocational Licence, you must meet the following criteria:

1) Be a Singapore citizen

2) Be at least 30 years old

3) Possess a qualified class 3 driving licence

4) Be able to speak English and Mother Tongue

 

How To Apply

Step 1: Obtain the application form from www.onemotoring.com.sg.
Step 2: Submit your application form, $40 application fee (non-refundable) and a copy of your education certificate (if any) and NRIC (front and back) to LTA.

Send your Taxi Vocational Licence application form and a crossed cheque, made payable to 'Land Transport Authority' to:
10 Sin Ming Drive
Singapore 575701

By hand
Submit your Taxi Vocational Licence application form and payment (by cheque or cash) to LTA's Office located at the above address.

*Successful applicants will be notified by LTA to go for screening and tests before they are issued with a Taxi Vocational Licence

Step 1: To apply, please complete the application form and come personally to:

Step 2: A short interview will be conducted by our recruitment staff before the allocation of taxi.
Step 3: Upon allocation of a taxi, you are required to:
1) Pay a security deposit of $1,500.00 (refundable)
2) Pay a non-refundable administrative fee of $32.10 (inclusive of GST)
3) Open a POSB/DBS Bank savings account for GIRO purposes

*You must possess a Taxi Vocational Licence before applying to be a hirer.

4. AR, AP Accounts Assistant / Associate (2 to 3 positions)



AR - Job Responsibilities

• Process Hirer/Relief drivers' resignation forms
• Check for driver's outstanding payments after termination
• Print payment vouchers for resigned drivers
• Retrieve drivers' call levy amount
• Process drivers' incentives & rental collections using IBG
• Post rental invoices
• Verify vehicle servicing downtime
• Perform general clerical duties
• Attend to telephone and email enquiries
• Data entry, update, maintain and filing records
• Other ad-hoc duties assigned

AP - Job Responsibilities

• Performing accounting duties
• Handle cheques, invoice and payment processing
• Provide administrative support to accounting department
• Enter accounting transactions into financial system
• Process payment to vendor and follow up
• Prepare and input journal entries

Requirements

• At least Diploma in accounting, LCCI qualification in accounting or equivalent
• At least 1-2 years working experience in similar role.
• Computer literate and proficient in MS Office especially Excel
• Good in Mathematics
• Good interpersonal and time management skills

5. Mobile Application Developer



Roles & Responsibilities:

As Mobile App Developers, you will be involved in the following:
• To develop both web and mobile applications (both IOS & Android)
• Write high quality source code to program complete applications within deadlines
• Participate in the full mobile application development life cycle including: technical design, development & implementation, testing, documentation and support
• Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent the application’s design, code and functions
• Collaborate with various departments to optimise the App’s functionality and propose new features that will add value to the user experience.
• Ensure all codes are in compliance to industry standards
• Test and optimise the user interface and ergonomics of the all Apps

Requirements

• A degree/ diploma, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Info-communications or Engineering
• Possess experience in developing iOS and/or Android mobile applications (native or hybrid) from conceptualization to testing to rollout
• At least 1 - 2 years of relevant experience
• Certified application developer is a plus
• Database design experience (e.g. SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, etc)
• Knowledge in common third party API (User authentication: Google, Facebook; Google Map, etc.), cloud storage solutions (e.g. AWS, Google Cloud Platform), payment gateway integration, version control software (e.g. Git)
• Experience in publishing mobile applications in Google Play and iTunes
• Highly driven and hungry to keep up with programming skills and the latest trends/technologies

Responsibilities:

• Answering employee questions
